Utility Warehouse: A Different Approach to Utilities

Utilities are a necessity. But is it necessary for it to be such a hassle? Between choosing providers and coordinating multiple bills, keeping up with your utilities and home services can be confusing, exhausting, and, honestly, just downright annoying.

But it seems there’s one utilities company that’s trying to change how utilities work, from service offerings to billing to how they advertise their services. Utility Warehouse is the UK’s only genuine multiservice provider of utilities and home services. Read on to learn more about what sets UW apart.

How UW is Different

As we said, perhaps the most notable aspect that sets Utility Warehouse apart from other utilities companies is its multiple service offerings. Currently, the company offers energy (electricity and gas), broadband, home phone, mobile phone, and home insurance options.

In addition to offering multiple services, UW allows customers to bundle these services, saving them more money than if they only signed up for one or two services.

UW’s bundling options are:

The Mobile One: this bundle includes broadband, landline, and mobile services. UW customers who sign up for this bundle can expect a market-leading unlimited mobile tariff, whole home WiFi with eero devices, and 10% off of phone and broadband services. Expected savings with this bundle are up to £96 a year.

The Energy One: this bundle includes broadband, landline, and energy services (gas and electricity). UW customers who sign up for this bundle can expect energy prices below Ofgem’s Fair Price and whole home WiFi with eero devices. Expected savings with this bundle are up to £70 a year.

The Everything One: this bundle includes all of UW’s services. UW customers who sign up for this bundle can expect 100% renewable energy, whole home WiFi with eero devices, 10% off of phone and broadband services, a woodland tree planted in their name, and UW’s Peace of Mind Promise. Expected savings with this bundle are up to £185 a year.

Cashback Card

In addition to the company’s utilities offerings, Utility Warehouse recently released a cashback card for UW customers. The card can help customers earn up to 7% cash back from over 2,000 participating retailers, both in-store and online.

Partner Programme

Utility Warehouse offerings more opportunities to earn in addition to the savings opportunities offered by its bundling options and cashback card. In place of more traditional advertising tactics, UW advertises entirely through word-of-mouth via its Partner network.

UW Partners are independent, and can set their own hours and earnings goals to make sure it fits their schedules and lifestyles. But Partners are not on their own - every UW Partner is provided training, marketing materials, and ongoing support to ensure success. What’s more, Partners have the opportunity to manage their own teams or attend networking events.

The UW Foundation

In 2020, Utility Warehouse took another step towards giving back - not only to its customers, employees, and Partners, but to local communities and environmental efforts, with the founding of The UW Foundation. The UW Foundation is a nonprofit designated to give back to and support causes that are important to UW customers, employees, and Partners.

Currently, The UW Foundation has partnered with Carbon Forest to plant 100,000 native trees in the UK. The UW Foundation is also supporting Ocean Generation in its efforts to decrease plastic and pollution levels in oceans by matching donations and funds raised by UW employees and Partners.

Closer to home, The UW Foundation is also matching donations raised for disadvantaged communities in London, Bolton and Bournemouth, and is working to support the NHS in its fight against COVID-19.
